BREAKING NEWS
After our best attended festival ever, this year's BOF winner is Boggart's Rum Porter. Our thanks to all those who voted, and came along to make it such an enjoyable event.

Our beer festival is held from the Friday to Monday of every August Bank Holiday weekend.
This year there will be live music from The Ragiti String Band on Friday night, Alfie & The Alcoholics on Saturday night and Band of Two  on Monday afternoon.

There will be a dozen beers, of varying styles, sourced from small breweries all round the UK.
As well as these, served from our marquee on the patio, we serve three ales as usual from hand pumps on the bar. For the duration of the festival these are always from Sussex.
You have the opportunity to vote for your favourite beer of the festival, and four lucky voters will win a special prize.

This is the list of beers for the marquee this year:

Abbeydale: Brimstone: Sheffield, S.Yorks: 3.9%

Russet coloured bitter beer with a distinctive hop aroma

Oakleaf: Some Are Drinking: Gosport, Hants: 3.9%

Easy drinking light summer ale, pale and refreshing with a zesty hop finish.

Palmer’s: IPA: Bridport, Dorset: 4.2%

Hop aroma and bitterness stay in the background in this predominantly malty best bitter.

Moor: Revival: Pitney, Somerset: 3.8%

Hoppy and refreshing bitter, with American yeast providing a crisp finish.

Bushy: Old Bushy Tail: Braddan, Isle of Man: 4.5%

Reddish brown beer with pronounced hop and malt aroma, the malt tending towards treacle.

Purple Moose: Dark Side of the Moose (Ochr Tywyll y Mws): Porthmadog, Gwynedd: 4.6%

Delicious dark ale with a deep malt flavour and a fruity bitterness.

Boggart Hole Clough: Boggart Rum Porter: Moston, Manchester: 4.6%

A classic porter with a smooth roast finish, enhanced by a sweet spicy hop taste, complemented with a hint of dark rum.

Dartmoor: Legend: Princetown, Devon: 4.4%

Golden brown in colour with an aroma of fresh baked bread with a hint of spice.

Box Steam: Derail Ale: Colerne, Wilts: 5.2%

Amreican pale ale style beer, crisp and hoppy.

Butt’s: Le Butts: Hungerford, Berks: 5.0%

Brewed with lager yeast and hops, resulting in a crisp and refreshing European style beer.

Pot Belly: Crazy Daze: Kettering, Northants: 5.5%

A very light golden Bitter with hidden strength.

Thornbridge: St.Petersberg Stout: Bakewell Derbys: 7.7%

Full bodied beer in the style of a Russian Imperial Stout.

Strengths range from 3.9% to 7.7%, so there is something for everybody!
